On behalf of the New South Wales Regional Organising Committee, I would like to invite you to the 2008 Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, Faculty of Pain Medicine and the Joint Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine to be held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre from 3-7 May 2008.

Building on the strong ASM foundation, we hope to provide a memorable experience for all participants by combining a leading scientific program with dynamic social and networking experiences. The theme for the 2008 ASM is Anaesthesia: Science, Art and Life, designed to stimulate an educational exchange that will be long remembered after the 2008 meeting is over.

The committee has also put together an exciting social program to showcase the natural vibrancy of Sydney. I encourage all attendees to participate in the social program, which will allow plenty of opportunity for networking and a chance to re-discover this beautiful Harbour City.

It promises to be an ASM you won’t want to miss.
